89k here on the original with a replacement on standby.
I'm getting close to replacing my water pump as well. I found a I can get a rebuilt one for $188.47.

These guys definitely have the lowest prices for an online BMW parts dealer. I use them all the time when I'm not in a rush.
Water pumps for the V8's do go for a lot less.
Check out the price of the pump for 3.0 N52 engine. $348.68. It still beats local BMW dealer prices but you may be able to find it for less. I just happened to luck out on ebay from a random vendor with misc euro parts.
