good advice there. in addition to the fluids, i would also change the spark plugs.


is that a piece of black foam that was on the air filter? I've never seen anything like that.

i would guess a restricted filter would give you error messages related to air/fuel, but i suppose its possible that at the higher end of the powerband, a lack of sufficient airflow could cause other issues as well.

edit: what did the other side of the filter look like?

What's the mileage on the car ...some would recommend doing a transmission oil change on these cars.

No spark plugs on a diesel.

Sadly they never made the 535d in a manual transmission = main reason I avoided it and went for the 530d with a stick shift.

Only 62k

Fault codes states clutch c and clutch e
