Total BMW Group sales this June totaled 27,909 vehicles, up 12.4% when compared to June of last year. Total BMW Group sales of 143,646 units for the first half of 2004 represents a 4.8% increase when compared to the first half of 2003.

What makes the BMW sales figures more interesting this month is to see that dealer incentives on 15 models seemed to have a minimal impact on sales this month. The dealer incentives started on May 7 and ended on June 30. Note that the YTD sales figures for all series were down except for the 6 Series, X3, and MINI.

Lat month I re-vamped the report to add a new total for BMW truck sales so that you may more easily see the impact of the X3 on X5 sales and total truck sales. More importantly, I have added a ?Percent Change? column to reflect the percent change in sales of each series when compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. This improvement allows you to easily see which series are contributing to the growth in total BMW sales each period.
