June '05 BMW Group U.S. Sales Report

BMW Group vehicle sales this June were down 3.3% when compared to last June. YTD sales for the first half of 2005 were up only 0.8% based primarily on sales of the 5 Series cars and the X Series trucks as well as the MINI brand.
For a change sales of the X Series were down 18.7% when compared to June, 2004. Car sales were also down 1.4% this month relative to June, 2004.
Sales of the BMW brand were down 6.5% this month when compared to last June.
Total MB sales of 18,242 units this month were up some 4.3% when compared to the total of 17,484 sold last June. YTD 2005 sales for MB are down 4.4%.
MB sales would have been much lower save for introduction of the 2006 M Class last month. Sales of the M Class were up 58.9% when compared to June, 2004.
Please note that I report only United States sales data.

hmmmmm...means that BMW cars are more exclusive...
