I always punish the loaners I get from my dealer.. They get punished for the fact that I cannot drive my own car.. So driving em hard and aggresive..

That's the reason why I never buy a Demo car because I know others do that too..

I usually don't baby them myself. Must be why we get 325i's and X3 2.5's for loaners. Do you think if we were nice they'd give us an M5??

No news. Maybe something next week. I'm not punishing their X3 3.0i, but am putting some miles on it instead of my baby -- getting to be a small consolation at this point. I'm not as ticked off with the dealer as I am with BMW. BMW is in control of this operation. They are supposed to supply the parts for their product.

JDN, I think this sounds strange to me. As I mentioned in that other thread I had my CAS go out last sunday, and by Wednesday I got a new one and my car back. If you want to contact my dealer, maybe he can fill you in on how he got mine so fast. He told me he put a priority order on it. PM me and I can get you that info if you want it.

I agree. There's no way the dealer can't have something overnighted -- especially if gdavis got one so quickly. Your car was in before his car so it's not like the part is on national backorder or something.

I remember when my dealer was having problems with a "previously married" part (do a search on 'divorce' for details), they were getting replacements overnighted each night until they got one that worked.

What is the story they're telling you again?

The story is simple. The part is on backorder and no news on replacement.

gdavis, give the contact info for your man. I'll have my service rep contact him Monday. Thanks.

You might ask BMW to make a car payment for you if you have a loan. I've heard of this being done before.

I've heard of that too. It's clearly not anything you did and it seems to clearly be BMW's fault here.
