.... and now the iPod plays about 30-50 seconds and drops out and/or freezes and then I get booted out of my playlist back to AM/FM. Went to the Apple store and the problem doesn't exist. Before I go back to dealer does anyone have a quick fix?
BTW.... Awesome Car!!! Review will come later along with photos.

It's a known issue. From what I've read, the latest version of PROGMAN should resolve it.
I just reviewed the Service Information Bulletins posted here in the forum, but did not see any mention. Could you refer me to the specific reference. Thanks

My CA said that the cable supplied by BMW may be the problem, (he has seen that several times in the past) I need to go back tonight and he will replace to see if the problem is the cable. I will let you know the outcome.

I have had my car in service since Wednesday....today makes three days.... the reason it is there so long is that BMW and my SA are communicating by email to resolve the problem!!! . The delay is caused by BMW having so much on their plate that it takes lots of time to respond to my SA . It is not a software problem, but a component issue with the car. My SA says that they have the component (????) in house and ready to install but BMW will not issue a release until they do all the testing that is necessary  .
