So all you have to do is plug in the Dension 500 to the CD Changer Cable and go to the dealer to get the MP3 function installed and your done?
How much does the dealer charge to install the MP3 function?

One thing you gotta keep in mind tho, since Dension is not OEM, some dealership would not code your car, you would have to install the OEM integration kit first.

im gonna install the dension my self and if it needs idrive programming im going to a independent bmw garage, which shouldn't care wot the device is
i heard that the dension unit it self has a mp3/none mp3 switch on it, so surely if u aint got mp3 u just set it to none mp3 and ur sorted? u just got get the track names or somin?

that post says u need mp3 but i sweeeaar i read there is a switch that u set to mp3/none mp3
