Here you go. This is my Winter setup (Powdercoated 166's with Blizzak LM-22's). These pictures were taken last year around Thanksgiving. This is a dark, metallic graphite color. It's not black. Come to think of it, if Ed did this to some 166's against AW, it might not look so bad. I still prefer the 167's or the VB3's though.

Hope this helps...and confuses things even more.
i like those a lot. you should get rid of those...kind of a weak winter setup dont ya think those would look perfect on my AW.

This is a bit weird...

Ed - Did you see this new thread?

These are the wheels you want on a NON-Sport E60 that just got lowered. Take a look at the before and after pix. Ha!!!
Oh Thanks.
The before picture wheel gap isn't bad at all.
I wonder what size are those vb3?

Those would be 19's on his car. You need to do 19's. 18's will look like 17's, especially with your car sitting up higher. Why? The spokes on the VB3's don't extend all the way to the outer circumference of the wheel. Therefore, on a smaller wheel, the spokes look even shorter, thus giving the illusion of an even smaller wheel. This is why it's not ideal to do a wheel with a lip in 19's, as it looks more like 18's. The lip takes away at least a cm of space on the spokes, thus making the wheels look even smaller. The VB3's have a similar effect, even though they don't have a "lip".

Make sense?

Nice car. Is BMW still offering the $2500 rebate on the 2009s?

As for the wheels, I am a fan of the 167s and the 172s (the OEM wheel on the 550i Sport).

Get ready to lower your ride.

It is actually $5000 rebate on 2009 model.

Sigh... I do not want to lower my ride. =(
What should I do? Not buy new wheels?

Was your final sale price you listed with the rebate included or before the $5k rebate?

I got my 2009 550 in March when BMW had a $2500 rebate. I brought mine for $800 above dealer cost (invoice plus PACO plus training fee) and then I got the $2500 rebate.

It is after the rebate.
Invoice is $54120, and I pay 52800(includes tax and license)

Not bad huh?
