installed lci lights, but cant get my adaptive lights to work right.

the headlights auto level on startup, and do a brief side to side motion. but they dont move properly when in auto mode. the left light doesnt really move much, and the right light moves to the right a little and back to center, but no left motion. the green led by the light switch is solid green...no errors.

when recoding a LM2 module, do your guys' AHL lights work without doing any other coding?
any ideas?

Hi guys,
Are any of you in the LA area? My left adaptive headlight on my '04 525i no long works (LED blinking) and I'm hoping someone can help me w/ 1. what I need to fix (AHL module or if I need the entire headlight) and 2. coding. Please let me know what you guys charge

From what you're describing, it could be your SMC module is toast, however, we don't really hear that happening. On the other hand, we have heard of a few members with 2004s that said that their adaptives have failed and is due to the adaptive motor inside the headlights that's messed up. If that's the case, you will need to get new headlights to fix it.

From what you're describing, it could be your SMC module is toast, however, we don't really hear that happening. On the other hand, we have heard of a few members with 2004s that said that their adaptives have failed and is due to the adaptive motor inside the headlights that's messed up. If that's the case, you will need to get new headlights to fix it.

hoping you can help. I fully installed the LCI retrofit on my PRE LCI car.
everything works, BUT my AHL. I swapped over ballast and AHL modules from my pre lci.
funny thing is, the green light on then headlight switch, is SOLID GREEN, but my IDrive tells me, AHL Malfunction, and AHL don’t work.
at start up, they do the auto leveling sweep thing, then 15 sec later, AHL malfunction, WITH GREEN LIGHT SOILD on the headlight switch.
can you help assist ? - I am in Anaheim.

I will have to double check to see if my PRE LCI ones are SMC2.
the used LCI lights I got, came with a pair of ballast, and AHL modules, that I did not use, I swapped over both, my ballast, and AHL modules.
