Default INPA won't read the car

Hi. I got my head unit revamped, he used my Vin no to programme it, but i found out the drive knob thing ribbon was broken, so i got a new one. I understand I need to programme it in, so trying with a new switchable cable, so pins 7 & 8 are linked, I got the E60 - SP-DATEN also, paid for it! Any ideas? I have the WinKFP loaded on laptop also, that won't work either as car can't see laptop I guess. Also downloaded ftdichip drivers. Changed usb port to latency 1

The driver is installed automatically when inserting the cable. Something is not configured correctly. I can have a look at it if you send me your anydesk. Also pins don't need to be bridged

Also check your comm port. I opened INPA this weekend and it wouldn't detect my car and I was scratching my head until I looked in Device Manager and saw my cable was on Comm3 and so I set it back to Comm1 and was good to go. Not sure why that changed, Windows update perhaps?
