Default INPA Software

Could someone recommend a good source for INPA software.. which version I should aim to get etc.

- reason for needing is to isolate vac pump operation to diagnose strange noise. My buddy with the shop doesn't have INPA.. (it's a small town and Chevy & Honda are the majority), so I'm getting him setup with the tool.

Many thanks in advance.

- car is a '04 545i auto transmission / standard suspension.

... and yes I've "googled" it and researched.. I'm seeking a definitive opinion from someone in the know.

Check eBay member euautohaus. He sells the cable and software packages.

Assuming you don't have the coding cable....

I got my cable and software from BM Technic. The software is bundled very nicely on a flash drive and is super easy to use.

If you do have a cable, trying to find a good source on the internet for INPA/NCSE/etc is difficult. I gave up trying and just bought everything from BM Technic.

good luck with the car.

Thanks Roskin! I should have checked here first.... I just purchased from BM Technic and came over to the forum to thank KyleB for the referral and saw your post. Ah well... another hundred out of the wallet isn't enough to get upset over.

sure isn't, and it'll pay for itself the first time you used it. I use mine all the time now.

good luck with the car, hope you're able to cure your issue.

+1000....With INPA I managed to see error counts and catch a potentially failing thermostat BEFORE it threw a check engine light or worse!
