Default Increased emissions

New to this and my first BMW. I replaced the common gaskets alt , timing , valve , oil pan , and oil pressure switch. It was a long hard project but thanks to Allen and the people on his discussion I made it through. After getting it all back together I'm getting increased emissions and it won't acellorate at all. Just bogs down

Anybody with some ideas in what direction to try ?

05 545i 4.4

Thanks

Have the code read. My guess is a bad fuel breather valve based on the "just bogs down" statement.

I have this Increased Emissions malfunction as well. It's been going on since last July. Mine has to do with the secondary air passages for the secondary air injection system. Can't remember which bank is clogged. I replaced the y-pipe underneath the manifold and the 2 non-return valves but that did not solve it. Had my indie mechanic scan it again and he says low flow is the cause. Next stop is the AGA Secondary Air Cleaning kit I think.

Mechanic says it doesn't affect how the car runs, just an emissions issue. I'm just polluting more I guess. Car runs fine though. I'm at 122k right now, I think the malfunction came around 118k.

Get it scanned for sure and report back.
