Increased Emission malfunction light.

same thing here...i had a loose clamp on the MAF sensor and also cleaned it, and it went away

I had the same problem and had a leak in the y pipe running through the intake. I found an indy shop to do the work for around $900 because my warranty didn't cover emissions.

Was on the way to get the code read by a friend. Stopped for gas. Then the malfunction light disappeared once I was done gassing up.

I have similar issue:

engine malfunction with deteriorating emission light came on but nothing is showing in the iDrive. Is it the GAS?

In my case, I think it was. Not sure on yours though.

Mine was the pressure regulating valve. I got (2) new valves at the dealer for $60 and replaced them, cleared the code and idles great now!
