ive bought 2 new bmws in the past month and a half. im the wrong guy to ask for advice.
BRETT: Look here, girl, just think about how much the bumper and skirts will cost you installed and painted. Now take that number and multiply it by 5. You should be at about $5,000. Once you have your account balance well above that mark, buy the front and sides - NOT BEFORE!
Another way to save would be to hunt in the classifieds for already painted ones - more fun and less coin - its a win-win

If you are still unable to help yourself, call me before you call umnitza - I'll talk you out of anything

Get the rear as well. Roy's car looks so much better after he recently finished it with the M Tech rear bumper from DK's car. It makes a huge difference in appearance.

Even I caved on a mod. I ordered the sprint boster from Andy Wong. I love the way my car looks but the throttle delay, to a leadfoot like me, is killing me.

More mods for your M5. I did not think there was a mod that you did not already have. It is predominantly for the X (the lowering stuff)?

-1 there's me
I don't advocate wasting money on skirts, bumpers, spoilers, sprintboosters, BBK's, suspension, big flashy rims, remaps, Carbon Fibre, exhausts - none of that stuff. Save the thousands of $$$ that would be wasted on that and add it to your next car purchase and either get an upgrade in engine from it, or a big reduction in monthly payments due to a higher deposit. Major mods = money down the drain.
-1 when it comes to mods.
Yes I've done some mods, but they're all minor (black kidneys $65, window tint $200, MP3+S/W upgrade $200, Shadowline $a few hundred). Only two of them are cosmetic (because I hate Chrome). The other two are functional. I could have easily spent $5k on mods but that's $5k that's still in the bank now earning 3% and will be there for my next purchase. If I'd put it into mods, there's no way it would make the car worth $5k more. It would be more like $5k less. It's usually hard selling a heavily modded car.

money is meant to be spent and enjoyed. Embrace your inner mood Brett!
