already had 1 front head light fooked (water leak)
women reversed into me in a carpark smashing in front wing and door (insurance covering this though HERS)

and now on way home, feel like a twang in the drivers wheel and then it makes this really bad screeeching sound when u drive forward, really really loud like some things jammed in the brake. so call my dad out and turn the wheel a bit hear another twang and the screeching has stopped

somin deffo went wrong there

will take wheel off tomorrow and have a look, some thing must of come loose and falling i into the brake

ah well love this car to much for it to annoy me LOL

Does the twang happen everytime you turn the wheel?

Ive had this on a car before and it was the steering arms, no screeching though.

Might be able to help with the screeching sound, i had the same problem when the council rechipped the road surface.

The small bits of gravel got stuck at the back of the brake disc inbetween the disc and the metal protection plate (it made one hell of a screeching, grating noise), I bent the plate a little to give a bit more room to allow gravel to fall out.

Hope this helps.

Wow. I have had my car for almost a year and only had to have the break fluid changed and put gas in it. I guys I am lucky.

By the way russdx, your picture looks like your car is in a garage of crushed purple velvet. Where did you find all that velvet?

hehe

took the wheel off (does a car with run flats come with a jack? coz i couldn't find one lol)

any way took wheel off had a good look around the hub and couldn't see any thing, none thing was loose or hangin off or in the brake
very weird, i guess some peice of metal must of flicked up and landed in the brake? then fall away

doesn't explain the twang sound though hmmm

weird lol
