Hey guys, My car was running perfectly Fine, I had the wheel alignment done about a week ago and the car drove Great!!, I took my car to get tinted and the battery died with the guys, after we jumped the car, active steering malfunction light came on and its not going away. I checked my steering oil level it was a little low. i put some oil drove the car and same problem. I unplugged thebattery for more then 12 hours. light keeps coming on and in order for the car to go straight i have to hold the wheel like im making a right turn. Please help, what do i do now!! the car starts up perfectly fine so i dont think its the battery but i could be wrong??

Not uncommon ... try the advice in this post to see if reset of active steering will help.

BTW, did the tint guys happen to leave all the doors open and blast your stereo for a few hours while tinting your windows? Maybe that helped kill a weak battery

just to be clear and apologies for asking a dumb question, but when you say "steering oil" you mean steering fluid right? because oil in the steering fluid would be a big no no..... :thumbsdown:

the power steering reservoir cap should be labeled "CHF-11S Only" This refers to Pentosin CHF-11S hydraulic fluid.
