To all "high mileage" members: how many miles did u have on the clock when u changed your ignition coils? & did u change them due to failure or just routine maint.? I had one quit on me this week (25,xxx) so I changed just that one.......wondering if I should have changed all

One or two of mine went at 150k km. If another goes I will replace the remaining 6.

I have always been old to change them when they go. I had my 100K service done and it wasnt mentioned at all so I asked and they told me the same thing I was told already. So I hope I have been told right.

That ignition coil must've been a defective one. Otherwise, it shouldn't fail at 25K miles.

I had one replaced at 84K miles just a few months ago. The failure caused the whole car to shake when the engine was running.

@124K still original. still drives like new

You'll know if one goes out, the car will be down a cylinder and will idle like shit and will also not pick up any power. Same if plug goes...same feeling.stuttering and shaking...I mean you'll know.
