If your turn parking lights on manually do the DRl go out?

My Ride: 2007 Sapphire Black Metallic 525i. Beige Dakota Leather, Premium package, bluetooth, BMW Assist, Xenon adaptive lights, Sirius radio
Was wondering if you turn the parking lights on if you will only get the halos?

On LCI's yes, the halo's stay on with parking lights option and are the default DRL's, not sure on pre-LCI...

Also on the LCI, if you leave the switch in the OFF position, you don't get the cool-as-heck fade up light show when you unlock the door(s). It just looks so awesome like the car's waking from a slumber.

On my 05 545 the halogen DRLs stay on when I turn on the parking lights. So I then have the halos and the DRL. I have read on the forum that the early year E60s the dealer can turn off your DRLs then you could turn ont he parking lights to have only the Halos.

can the drl's (xenon) on the pre LCI's be programed in a similiar fashion as the LCI's (halo)?
