Hi all,

I have an '06 520d and i noticed that when i insert the key fob in its place near the steering column, the BMW logo does not show up before the iDrive display shows. Is this normal or is there something wrong with it? As far as i can remember, mine has always been like this. Thanks.

 

I have a 07 550i and I always get the BMW logo at start up.

 

I dont think mine shows the logo, just says BMW.

 

Mine just show nothing, just a black screen until the idrove controls are shown

Ok i thought i was the only one with this 'problem'. Actually I do not think it is a problem but have no idea why some the logo and some dont!

same here no BMW logo on start up..

 

Guys do some research the info is here, there's two types of idrive :-

6 inch screen business nav or no nav, 1 dvd drive, no logo during boot up.
8 inch screen pro nav,1 dvd and 1 cd drive, BMW logo during boot up.

Hope this clears it up.

 

Thanks blood, this makes it clear had no idea that the 6inch one (screen i mean )have no logo during bootup.
