My 2005 545i is now in service awaiting a new central computer module. After 17,500 miles and the computer still indicating at lleast 14,000 miles to go until my first oil change, I was finally able to convince the service department that something was not right. My 2002 indicated an oil change every 12,000 to 13,000 miles, and I am using this vehicle in a simiar manner.

Please note that I have also been having problems with sudden computer blackouts and resets; and times when the computer, screen and radio well not turn when the car is turned off.
