Hey guys,

I don't think I've ever gotten a software upgrade since the car was purchased back in 11/04. Would I benefit from getting a software upgrade in any way at all?

I tried looking through the search function, but I couldn't find anything. I googled it and I read that the screen looks different, nav (which I don't have) looks diff, screen changing is smoother, booting is faster, and I also read from one thread that for SMG, the shifting was a lot smoother.

Any comments/input is appreciated.

Thanks,

My dealer loaded the latest SW on my 5 and charged 100 Euros ex VAT. Seems they are an exception with the price though ;-) )

As for benefits,
Some bugs are removed, it is somewhat faster and the colors are a bit more avid. (specially in Navigation mode)

Ar.
