My Ride: 545i, Adaptive Xenons, 19" 166's
Hey guys,
Any suggestions on who I may be able to help with my idrive dilemma:
1) I have the phone system, however I keep on getting an error message "Please connect or switch on portable"
I brought the car in to the dealer, and they told me I have a bad eject box. I had the original CPT9000 eject box, with a BTUM - and they told me it would not work.
So I purchased an eject box from a member on here and picked up a new Iphone 4 adapter. I plugged it in and still getting the same "Please connect or switch on portable" error.
Could this simply be a coding error and if yes, I am pissed since I had the CPT9000 setup with BTUM and that is now ripped out of the car.
The dealer gave me a quote of $269 for labor and programming for the phone and cd changer.
2) CD Changer not recognized by idrive.
3) CD drive does not play MP3's
In 2008 the dealer had replaced my M-audio system controller CD (p/n: 65126942521) - I would think that in 2008 the CD drives were capable of playing MP3's.
I need help with getting the phone working, cd changer recognized and be able to play mp3's using my cd drive.
Any suggestions? Is there someone local to the DC area who can help? Or am I stuck having to fork out 3 more Benjamins?
