iDrive Lock UP

My Ride: 535d Sport Carbon Black/Black Leather
Media Pack,Visibility Pack,Through Load,Logic 7,Electric Seats,Sun Protection Glass,Maple Wood,Lumbar Adj,Heated Seats,Folding Mirrors
Has anyone else had their iDrive lock up on them ? I was driving my car today and the SatNav froze and I couldn't change radio sations etc. Pulleed over turned the ignition off took the key out and it stayed "frozen" and the radio kept playing!
Started car again, drove off and after about 10 mins the BMW screen appeared and the system started up like I'd just started the car! Very worrying.

When you say the CD/NAV do you mean the eject buttons for the CD and DVD drives?

! cd/nav buttons are cd eject button and the nav system dvd eject button.
