Hi, Right heres the problem I have just changed the dash and centre console trims from wood to aluminium cube, Since ive done this the Idrive knob is starting to play up! What happens is it goes up and down ok, but when i go to turn the knob nothing happens on the screen also if you press the knob down to go into information tab that is not working either, saying that since ive had the car you have to press forcefully but now its not working at all. Ive covered my tracks and checked everything three times over no losse wires or fittings. Hope someone can help TIA

 

Something has gone bad somewhere. I just changed my idrive knob only and had no problems, pop the old off pop the new one on. You must have a bad connection or bent pin inside a connector somewhere. My best guess...
