hi. i have a e61 535d 2005 year model. first my idrive started to reboot a couple of times. i connected the car to a computer and got a faulty code in the CID ( A46D most ring reset - intermittent) can someone explain what it means? i have tried to reset the idrive with pressing volume and both eject buttons. but it still did reboot.
then after a couple of days the idrive screen went all black. totally dead. i have no radio ,pdc, navigation etc. nothing work. can`t get my cd and dvd out. i have checked fuses and tried to connect it to the computer again. but it did`t get any connection with the CCC. i have google about it and it seems to be a common fault. most of the cars is the CCC faulty. i have found CCC`s on ebay but with different partnumber. does it have to be exactly same partnumber? does anyone know? please can someone help me.
sorry about my bad english. i hope you can understand what i mean. regards. peter

Well, it might, for a while.
Usually a bad battery can give you this kind of problems. Sure it can be a true problem, but I believe you should start finding the problem with by a new battery or with a recharged battery.
