I recently purchased a new 2009 535i and this is one heck of a ride. So luxurious yet a sporty feel to it with the sports package. I love the car and it is the best sedan for its price!

One simple question that spread up when I sat in my friend's 2009 335i is the iDrive. His was the newer versions and mine is still the old one. Is it supposed to be like this?

Everything else is 2009, bumpers, led tail lights, steptronic shifter, paddleshifter and all those other goodies.

i think it depends on the model year, the 5 e60 my 2010 has the new idrive, sounds like yours is a left over my 2009

 

The 2009 E60 does not have the new hard disk-based I drive. The 2010 E60 has the new I-Drive if also equipped with the navigation system. I believe the 2010 M5 has the new I-Drive in all cars.

 

E60/61 2010 MY has not yet been released from the preparation center - witness: " They are still on EPA hold. As soon as it's approved we'll ship this one." (From BMW NA)

My 2010 E61 arrived in the US on 3/24. I received this note 4/4.

My heart palpitates in anticipation.
