Started my 05 545I last night... in the garage. All the windows and sun roof were open. Hit all the buttons on the door to close the car up... as everything was closing the IDrive died. My Beemer's extended warrant expired thee weeks ago. Isn't that always the way it works... . I won't be able to start checking the car out until this evening. Any suggestion from the group where I should start...would greatly be appreciated. Of course if it's a power supply or something of that nature... into the shop.

I've already started administering Motrin to my wallet just in case!

I remember reading in another thread that there is a fuse behind the CCC display module. If the iDrive failed while you were closing all the windows at once - its possible you blew the fuse. Its just a guess, maybe someone else can chime in.
