Well hello all, I am taking delivery of my 530 d this friday, can't wait, I have been spending hours reading all the threads in the forums, and still trying to remain very excited, I have a nervous streak running through me... "will the windscreen crack, will the car shut down, will I have to call for roadside assistance on day 1???"

If you have any advice, or to help me get some freebies then your comments will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

skainth.

Welcome and no, just enjoy your car...don't worry, thats what the dealer should be doing!

get some of the nice "5" keyfobs...they are really special!

ps, you picked the peach in the engine range! (but I am biased!)

Yo, skainth. Never fear, BMW quality abounds. I have yet to have a mechanical fault since delivery on April 10 and any software glitches have not been serious enough to motivate me to request an upgrade.

Welcome aboard, keep the faith, and post us some pictures if you can manage to get from behind the wheel.

skainth...welcome and dont worry your car will be fantastic !!!

remember one of this forums main reasons for existing is to allow us to share ideas/tips on how to fix the little quirks that crop up with the E60, just like with any other car.

it might sometimes appear we just moan about the car but we all love the car really. Little niggles will always get sorted by your dealer and after reading this forum chances are should you ever need to visist a dealer you can tell them exactly what a problem might be and what the fix is.

Roll on friday and another 530D hits the roads !!

ps: if proof were needed i'm upbeat and my E60 is in the dealers for two days right now having a few little niggly jobs done but i'm not cursing it just looking forward to getting it back again. In the meantime i've got a nice brand new 3-series 320CD to drive about in.

Hi Skainth,
Why have you purchased from Sytner Chigwell when you live in the midlands?
I have ordered my 535d from them also.
Which sales person did you purchase from?
You are obviously not worried about the 54 plate coming in a couple of days time.
Good luck with your car,I'm very jelous.I've got to wait until 26 Oct.
Regards
Simon

skainth and 535dse, welcome aboard! guys, congrats on your new toys! don't forget to ask your dealers to throw in floor mats, chrome grilles, wood shift knob, wood e-brake handle, keyring, and all other accessories that aren't too pricey. if you ask them nicely, i think they'll give them to you without any problem. don't forget to post some pics .
