7200 miles no extra oil consumption, dealer topped off at 1400 miles at their recommendation.

I have 4500 miles. Other than gas, there is nothing else added in the car.

Added 1 quart at 8500 miles. Currently have about 11,500 and still haven't done the first oil change.

Come on Guys. I need your replies to prove that the oil consumption in my car is ubnormal. The larger the number of replies the more i am able to prove that they are trying to cover up a manufacturing defect.

The question again:

Did any user of an E60 on this site experience engine oil consumption of 1 liter of oil (1 quart) every 2900 Km (1800 miles) in their cars?

An answer of YES or NO will do it.

M54 520i - 44000 km now on odometer.

About 1 lt. / 10000 km with hard driving (speed changing @ 4500-5500 rpm)
About 0.6 lt. / 10000 km with normal driving (speed changing @ 3000-4000 rpm)
About 0.3 lt / 10000 km with easy driving ((speed changing @ 2500-3000 rpm)

Good luck.

Its actually a M54 engine.

Shebs,
NO.
Had an oil top-up after 4k - 5k but this was apparently normal on the M54 engine. Luck of the draw I guess on how much oil was put in at the factory
I had a similar oil top up about the same mileage on my E46 320iSE which had the 2.2 M54 engine a few years back too.
