The steptronic is a fine tranny and every bit as fast as the manual and SMG. Put it in sport and the E60 is lively.
I don't have comfort access and didn't it was worth $1000. The keyfob is small and easy to use. I got a few options and CA was down my list. I'd add HUD before CA.

EDIT: Never mind ^^^... I misunderstood your statement. Yes, if you drop step, then you don't have sport.

I vote for Comfort Access.. Like AP Sales said its really convenient and cool. Trust me you can't go wrong with it

I'm with you a 100%. I'd go for Step and HUD before CA. Is it that hard to push one button and turn a key?

Pick Steptronic. How hard is to push a button on the remote to open the door and put the remote in the slot to start the car?
When you drive a manual, you have to change gears all the time, that is a lot of work. If this is your fun car, the answer might be different.
It's 90% "Cool" factor, and 10% convenient. I am willing to keep $1000 bucks in my pocket.

Those who don't have Comfort Access don't understand how convenient (and cool!) it is. I have manual with Comfort Access and would not change.
