I have a Buss. Nav and thinking of upgrading to the prof. nav.

any1 has an idea whether it is possible to upgrade from buss. nav to the pro nav? how much much would it cost?

p.s: i have a 2004 530i

its possible and I think it costs about 2000$. Im not sure about the price....

business nav has smaller screen and shows no maps, only directional arrows and voice quide.
That is it.

Yes it is possible since my dealer offered it for me and yes the cost is somewhere around 2000 EUR/USD....

Having had both systems I would save your money! Bus nav works great and functions 5 times faster than pro nav. The maps you get with the pro system are good but overall its no better than bus for finding places you've never visited.

i kind of needed to hear that i live in kuwait and down here the dealership told me that they've never done that before and as an initial estimate they told me that it would cost me round the 1000 kuwaiti dinars which is around ($3000)

Just update it and don't worry about the disturbances,

for what it is worth its IraQ

and the thing that is making me hesitate is that they've never actually done this proceedure before.. and many mechanics didnt actually know if its possible at all!! so im afraid they dont do it right i dont wanna be a dot on their learning curve
