Yes, no problem. I prefer the non-runflats to the numbflats. The non-rf's have more road feel and aren't as harsh.

Too many variables to say for sure but I would be inclined to say you would see an improvement. I say this mainly because the OEM run flats on the 2004 cars were pretty poor tires, based on most comments here. Tire brand and model, along with wheel size will determine the ultimate change, but yes, you can change from the original set up. Many have done it and will chime in with their experience. A regular (non-run flat) tire will generally soften the ride relative to run-flats though high performance tires (like the PS2) are pretty firm as well. But not like the run-flats!

Yes, go and do it - you will feel like you have a new car!!
You can fit normal tyres to standard rims with no problems. Obviously, your aftermarket wheels will have to be suitable for the car (PCD/offset etc).
You will find that you will have a more comfortable, quieter, less harsh car, and there will be no tramlining. As a bonus, normal tyres are a lot cheaper!!
Don't forget to buy a spare wheel and jack. This will fit under the boot floor if you remove the storage dividers. Where the dividers slot into the well needs to be shaved off with a sharp knife to get the tyre in properly. Either that or remove the well covering complete.

O.K. to change but be aware that the RF's are difficult for many shops to change. My dealer didn't want to take this on so I went to two different 'touchless' wheel shops to have snow tires mounted; both ding'ed my stock 124's and I had to have them refinished (and both assured me that they would be no problem to change.....).
