Do u notice in any of your i-drive screen that it will dimm down a little when u turn on the lights of your car???? or is it me only??? Should this even happen??

Mine used to do that at first. I have an 04 530i and it hardly got driven. The battery would get drained a little and that caused it. The battery eventually went bad and I had to replace it and now there is no problem so long as I drive the car every now and then. It still does it from time to time. Normal I guess.

I noticed that it dims with one of my keys but not the other maybe it's a option in your setting that turns it on and off

You can adjust screen brightness in I drive. I belive You have to turn the lights on when You do this to change brightness for lights being on.

I will try the other key...but my car has been sitting......for a while

My screen dims when the lights are on and the brightness varies with the instrument cluster brightness control. Also controlled via Idrive.

Dealer upgrade my idrive...and it does not dimm anymore.........
