My I-Drive is causing me problems. I get the "lawyer" screen, but am unable to accept the disclaimer when I press the knob. Nothing happens when I press, therefore, I can't use any of the functions. After I switch off the engine and try again after a couple of hours, the screen works perfectly. How do I explain this intermittent fault to the dealer?
I have read the past reports and there are similar cases for pre-LCI models, but where the screen is completely blank. I'm yet to hear of a report of being unable to accept the "lawyer" screen. My car is 6 months old and is a LCI model.
Is there a loose connection or a software issue? Will the dealer find the fault using the key fob?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
