Remeber tht post about the I-drive knob being plastic with some sort of matalic coating. Well I pulled mine off to see what it was. Now im addicted. Whenever im bored a a light or driving down the road i pop it on and off. Does anyone else have this problem??? or am i just "special"

haha thanks. I was just checking. I know im going to break it soon. I'm starting to think of an excuse to tell the dealer when it breaks

 

How about, "I was sitting at a red light with the sunroof open when all of a sudden a huge bird swooped in and snatched it up!"

 

Maybe, "I hit it too firmly trying to ACCEPT once and for all!"

 

The 10,000 dollar question is still whether a 7 series metal knob will fit , if so you could fit that and keep the plastic one in your pocket so that anyone asking what you were doing could be told "just fiddling with my knob" fnarr fnarr
