Hello
I just bought my first bmw 525d 2005 touring what a graete car , i was all the time a big audi fan but the bmw just rides more sporty,i enjoy it very much and keep looking at the car from the window.
i have a probleme with the i drive its keep falling off somtims when i drive,
also i had a copy dvd of the last navi 2009 (1) witch i got from the dealer salesman and it keeps showing dvd failer it just not working good i need to take the dvd out and put it in agien that maybe he will recognise him but still the probleme is not solve,i also put my old navi dvd 2005 (original) and it works a bit better but when driving for a 20 minutes its stop recognise the dvd so i need to eject and put inside agien,the sales man said to me that they update the software to the latest version,but i dont know if its also so true!!!
can eny one help me please

Hello Chim,
First, congrats for the new car and welcome to this great forum...
Concerning the navigation DVD copy, just make sure it has been cloned, not "just" copied, otherwise, it won't work.
BMW original CD/DVD are copyright protected. I made a copy of mine (08) just to have a back-up in case of... and after several unsuccessful attempts ("please insert a valid DVD") I did the duplication using CLONE DVD software and it finally worked fine.
I confirm as well that E46 navpro DVD's (although original) can't be read in a E60 navpro equiped (again: "please insert a valid DVD").

If the iDrive unit (also known as the CCC) is loose and falling off sometimes, that could explain a lot of problems.
