Okay, I want these cup holders too. How well do they work in the E60? Also the E60 is not listed in the supported vehicle list. which one do I order? Thanks for the info!

Which system - Bel Pro RX75 Plus Concealed?

Is it installed yet?

If, so DIY or professional install?

Was going K40 undectable, but recent reviews panned it in favor of the Bel RX75 Plus. My issue with the RX75 is the display seems to be awfully large to be able to locate in a decent looking "built in" location.

What is the best place to read reviews of radar detectors?

Here are some sites to research

radartest.com

http://www.k40.com/Technical/producttestreports.html - only reviews on K40 Undetectable products are listed. But you can also find additional resources from these references.

I am only interested in "built in" models as I spend a lot of time on DoD (military) installations where radar detectors are illegal. Some locations strictly enforce while others are lax. I have a V1 that I have always counted on to protect me but for this 6er I want truly a custom install and I need the V1 in one of the other 3 vehicles when I drive one of them and don't want to move in in and out of the 6er.
K40 Undetectable looked like my choice until recent radartest.com review which has caused me to rethink my plan. In either case we are talking somewhere in the $1500-1800 range installed by pro.

The cupholder works great in the E60. I called the maker before ordering (it is really just one guy who makes and sells them) and asked him. He gave me the link to the UCII which was not officially up at the time ( dont know if it is now). The UCII is really much more universal than the original version b/c it uses the sharp pins rather than the flat piece that fit into one of the gaps. Just position the holder in fron of the furthest forward seat position you might use.

After using the UCII for a few days, you can put cups in and out without looking.

Thanks Robq, I will go ahead and order a pair. I just can't believe how poorly designed and cheap the factory cup holders are.

Did anyone else start buying things for the car while waiting?? So far I have:

Euro-reflectors from Bekkers
Rejex
Applicator for Rejex
Drying towels
Leather cleaner
Leather conditioner

I know a lot of you have a lot of things already but I have been driving a '95 Camry so the motivation to take care of it was not really there.

What else did you buy while you were waiting?? I still have at least a month to go so I don't want to run out of ideas.?

Where do you buy online?

Lots of BMW branded hats, sweaters, sweatshirts, etc. I basically turned into what the "outsiders" term a "BMW Dickhead".
