Over the years, I have owned both black and silver BMW's. The silver is much easier to keep clean as it will not show a bit of dust or watermarks. Black is beautiful when it is clean (in the winter, this lasts about 5 minutes).
Overall, I think the E60 looks better in darker colors. I would go with black (a biased opinion of course).

[/quote]Agree completely. The E60 definitely looks best in black - more compact, cleaner lines. Silver is by far the best dirt color, very classy. If you don't mind cleaning the car often, get the black.

2005 545I Black Saphire Metalic, with Black Dakota Leather, Poplar trim. Sport Package, MTech Body kit and Spoiler, HUD, Comfort Seats, Navigation, Premium sound, CWP, Heated Rear Seats, Window shades. Valentine 1 hardwired, Aux input.
For me, this is an easy question. Especially since I just ordered a 2005 545I, and did everything I could to get the Carbon Black. NOT AVAILABLE IN THE US. We can't get the M sport package either. Consider yourself very lucky. Grab the Carbon Black, and never look back.

Hi Postel, I have just taken delivery of a new 530I sport here in Australia. I also found it very hard to decide which colour from my short list of Titanium Silver or Carbon Black as well. I ended up deciding on Titanium Silver due to 1. Easier to Keep Clean 2. In the Australian Summer, black cars get very hot and 3. I felt the Silver Exterior contrast's better with the Black Interior I wanted. Its always a personal choice, But i prefered Titanium Silver.
I have attached a snap of my Silver 5 Sport to give you an idea of what it looks like.. Good Luck with your choice
