I did brake but i dont think it slowed me down any less than 140km....i guess the speed helped me cause judging by the steel of the tracks it should have damaged my suspension tyrod etc....

The post about not braking is actually sort of right. When you brake the weight shiifts to the front wheels increasing likelihood of damage when they hit the pot hole so either don't brake and just sail through or brake but release just before hitting so that the weight shifts rearwards.
This also applies to speed bumps where of you brake hard you also have a bigger chance of scraping your front spoiler.
