Thanks guys with all your responses. I am still tossed up. I think I might go with the Benz just because I have always wanted one. I just dont like the fact that I have to buy a used one. BTW_I did search all my local Benz dealers and nobody had one in stock that I liked..

Have you done enough research to find out if the S500 models have the reliability problems that plague Mercedes?

Yes the only problem that has been talked about is that sometimes they down shift hard for no reason at all. I will always be a big fan of BMW(i have one now I LOVE) but have driven my sisters Benz and fell in love BUT I have not even test drove the 5 Series yet. I think I might go this weekend.
