True. the windshield is about $1500.00
I've had experience with GM HUD's and you can see the display in a regular windshield it's just a little less bright.

LOL. My friend, thats why I have 0 deductible for glass coverage How do you now about AZ and the disproportionate number of nerw windshields used here?

I remember back in the 80s HUDs got kinda big for a while as an aftermarket part. I remember seeing one on a family members corvette and i thought it was the coolest thing ever. I was like 6. I had seen it a few other times since then. it was kinda bulky and attached to the dash. I would imagine if anything like this is still in production it would be much smaller now.
