OMG HE DOES WHAT I DO!
I fold down the seats. I only put 50p's worth of fuel in. i polish the exhaust system because this improves airflow. The car is waxed and then coated in vaseline so its even faster through the air (vaseline and air dont mix so its slides through it)
and the best bit is that I dont actually drive my car when im trying to max it out.
I use several carbon fibre poles (no weight) to pin the gas pedal down and hold the steering straight. Its difficult to jump out before it starts moving but i find the duck and roll manoever works and the wind usually pushes the door shut past about 30mph.
then i just watch with my stopwatch and time it down a 1/4 mile!

My Ride: Arrived 3 June 2005: 2005 545i - Orient Blue, Black interior, Sport, Steptronic, Cold Weather, NAV, Sirius, Logic7, Comfort Seats, Sunshades. What a glorious ride!
The rear seat thing, It is rare that I fold them down, but it has to be said that when folded they remove a bit of weight. Vertical seats exert more downward force because the energy is focused on a smaller surface area. When horizontal, the weight is spread and so is less per Centimetre squared.

I'll be the nagging stuck up person on this one... Since he's a member of a forum, not to mention a public forum, he's entitled to his opinion and he can post watever he wants, we as adults and educated people, shouldn't be mocking those people, i'm sure everyone of us made some sort of "stupid" mistake or have some kind of "stupid" belief and opinion, yet not everyone is pointing their fingers at you and laughing are they? Come on guys, just driving our E60s alone show that we're suppose to be sophisticated and educated ppl, we shouldn't be making fun of guys like Police_Driver. Sorry, i just feel reali bad for the guy that he's got that opinion in his mind, but at the same time feeling very bad that we have to point fingers and laugh... Come on guys, cut it out...
