My Ride: 2005 525i Titanium Silver Metalic and 2003 325xi Jet Black with the Premium Package in both cars.
I never done it to either my 5 or 3. personally I never seen the need to do it, but thats my opinion.

If I were to dis-engage DSC and do a small powerslide, knowing my luck, the police would have me handcuffed and a confession beaten out of me quicker than you could say hold the button down for 3 seconds. 
I hate the British police - most of them are as thick as sh*t and never around when you really need them. Just my HO.

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Only in extreme snowy conditions and running uphill.
If it is slippry enough the car actually stops and the engine goes out do to the fact that the DSC brakes the car and the engine to a stop.
Then one has to take the DSC off to allow the wheels to spin. This way you do not get stuck.

Past few days have been a lot of fun. It's been snowing(if you can call that slush snow), and DSC always off for some fun powerslides.
Like to drive just for fun....
Sadly it's raining now and all the white stuff has gone. Well, there will be a lot more...powerslides to come
