i have a 04 525i with m54 and was just wondering if anyone knew off top of there head the amount of oil that should be added after a change? also theres the metal skid plate that needs to be removed to get to the oil sensor thing, i read somewhere that the 4 or 5 bolts cant be reused for some reason, does anyone know if this is the case becahse i have the sensor ready to go in car but dont want to take off anything i wont be able to put back.

I have a 2001 325i (M54) and I have written in my personal notes that its oil capacity is 6.5L.

thanks for the oil info, i know sensor bolts can i was meaning the 4 or 5 than hold up the metal skid plate that has to be taken off in order to reach sensor
