The car is due for brake fluid change and considering the dealership quoted me $350 for spark plugs, I would like some idea of how much a flush SHOULD cost.

Also, I've got really pathetic heat from the vents, and yes, all the settings are on max heat. Any thoughts?

I got a complimentary brake fluid flush when I complained about their service. $ 100.00 is what the dealer quoted me.

Be very clear with whoever you do it with, that the fluid is to be completely flushed out of the brakes, not just topped up. I didnt go to a BMW dealership to get it done, it takes time and every brake cylinder needs to be bleed. Worth having a look at the pads, whilst this also also happening.
The basic principals are the same for all cars when it comes to brakes, so dont have to pay a premium.

Ask the question as to how long will it take, or it took, cause that will give you an idea of what was really done.

In terms of the heat, Id suggest you look at the Coolant, and if there is any bubbles in the fluid, it causes confusion on the heaters. See when you had the radiator fluid changed, and ALSO see when the microFilters have been changed. They could be clagged up with dust, so not a lot of air and thus heat.

The heater may not be prepared to kick in, as there are other issues which it thinks are happening.

That's what I paid for my VW to get flushed. After that i just bought a power bleader from Bav Auto. Takes about an hour since i jack up each corner and remove the wheels to reduce cleanup. There is also a special one way bleader valve that allows a one man brake pumping method.
