How many times can you update the I-Drive
Of course. If they provided a software update and it is causing problems with the vehicle and not operating in the correct fashion, they would be obligated to get it working correctly. Even if that means swapping out the code strage chip with a new one. I think this is a rumor though. I can not believe that they would really have a limitation on this since they have had so many problems with the original 7 series system and aslo how long these cars (bmws) are intended to last.

WOW...if there is a limit to the number of times that iDrive can be updated....I have just about reached my limit. I have had mine updated no less than 8 times already...why you ask? BECAUSE MY iDRIVE IS A PIECE OF SHIT!!!!

. maybe he works for the sales dept, too. then he'll get commission more often if you change cars more often
