Waiting for trunkopener button from Hobi :)
In the past week my I-Drive hang on my 4 times. With the Alt-Ctrl-Delete tip I can get it running again although it is a bit irritating.
My car will be in at the dealership again for the squicky seat problem in a few weeks (I try to wait as long as possible before bringing it in). But if they update the I-Drive again I am affraid of the fact that there is a limitation.
Anybody can confirm this is true or is it a fairytale???
TIA

I'm not claiming to know for a fact that it has a limit or not, however, there are certain NVSRAM chips that have very low write cycles. Hence, it is possible if BMW decided to choose a "cheap" part that there may be a limit of the number of overall writes to the device (the code has to be stored somehwere and I'm assuming that it's on an NVSRAM). 12 cycles is a bit low but not out of the question.
So, while I'm not saying the rumor is true I'm just pointing out that it's possible (probably just added to the rumor, right? )

Someone reported that ver 13.2 would be buggy for a couple of weeks. Anyone know any more about that. I may be getting ready to move up from 11.3 to get my seat moving on exit and RDS. OTOH, neither is a real problem.

The seat doesn't move, just the side bolsters open up.

my 2cents would be, if BMW have, and noone seems to know for sure, used chips/nvram with limited write/update cycles and you, through no fault of your own used up your allowance but still required another update to fix a warranty issue, then BMW would have to replace the hardware to allow the software update to take place.
I dont think they could refuse, esp if it was a genunine warranty claim.
