How to make an MP3

My Ride: 2006 550 SMG
I need help making an mp3, using either windows media player or I-tunes using a non mp3 as a source, how do I convert the music to mp3 format. TIA

Open iTunes... goto preferences... click on importing and select import using mp3. Insert music CD.
