When brand new the service indicator was showing a first service due at 18000 miles. Now after 7000 miles it is showing a service due at 12000 miles. Can I expect this to go lower?

Mine is showing 15000 km after 16000 km.

But I do not think you can overpass 30000 km.

Yes. It will go lower and count down to zero. The indicators are part of BMW's CBS (condition based service) where the car will actually adjust the interval up or down depending on your style of driving and other driving conditions (climate, air quality, etc.)

Thank you. Then I misunderstood I assumed the mileage shown was when the service was required not how many miles I had left before it was due.
