I test drove a 525i with Active Steering and it is irritating! It feels like it doesn't give me full control of the wheel
. AS just keeps on kicking in! I will definitely not get this option!!!
Do you guys honestly love this Active Steering?

What year car did you drive? AS on the earlier models, although I thought it worked very well, was more noticeable (less refined.)
AS is one of those love it or hate it things. I loved it on my 2004 car and I love it even more on my 2008 car since it's still there but less "noticeable"...

My Ride: 2004 530i, Dinan throttle body, K&N drop in air filter, Power Chips flash. Sport/Premium package, PDC, Navigation, Active Steering, Premium Sound Automatic and Wood upgrades from BMW Catalogue.
Have AS on my 2004 and love it. AS makes the car nimble and handles precise around town. Above 70 mph it's not as fast. Overall, my next BMW must have AS, unless it's an M-car.

I just got my wife a 328 w/o AS, and I can't stand driving a car without it. I have to do hand-over-hand turns at stop signs in it. A/S is definitely the way to go.

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.
I have to agree with the rest, Active Steering is the shiznit! What's not to like about it? Besides higher cost for alignment
